Unable to load the merchant data from db or invalid store name

-Once you have got the Weareag – First Data Connect for WooCommerce plugin set up using our start here guide and are ready to test a transaction, you may have encountered the error: “Unable to load the merchant data from DB or invalid store name” upon checkout.

Why does this error happen, and what can I do?

It is possible that you have not processed test transactions on test mode before switching to live mode. It is always best practice when setting up a payment gateway to do this in test mode first and run several orders before switching to live mode.

You can set the store status of your plugin from your:

WordPress dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > AG First Data > Manage > Store Status and set it to > Test Environment

If you don’t have a test account yet, you will need to email the First Data Connect support team to get access. You can email them here: fdipgconnect@firstdata.com. Once you have the test account, You can log in to the test account here.

I already have a test account, and my plugin is in test mode, but it still has the error.

You can contact the First Data Connect support team using the email mentioned above, and they would be able to see if there are any misconfigurations on your account. If they cannot sort out the issue, you could also contact our support, and one of our friendly support team members will sort out these issues for you.
