Setting up the Webhook

What is a Webhook?

A webhook is an HTTP-based callback function that allows lightweight, event-driven communication between 2 application programming interfaces (APIs). Webhooks are used by a wide variety of web apps to receive small amounts of data from other apps, and with this, the plugin is now able to fetch important data to be displayed within the order.

How to set up the Webhook feature?

You will need the following to use the webhook feature:
Webhook Key
Webhook Secret
Webhook URL

You can follow the steps below in order to acquire them:

1.) Log in to your Wordline back office. For test accounts, you can log in through this link using your test credentials.

2.) Proceed to Configuration >> Technical Information >> API settings. From here, click on the “Generate Webhooks API Keys” button, then add the Endpoint URL that will be using these keys. Then click Save.

3.) Log in to your WordPress dashboard, proceed to WooCommerce >> Payments, and from here click the “Manage” button for AG Worldline Hosted Checkout for WooCommerce. From here, fill in the Webhook Key and Secret fields with the data you generated from the back office.

4.) Proceed with a test purchase and check the order’s notes to see the data returned by the webhooks.
