Credit card tokenization allows your customers to use a saved card at checkout. They can use multiple cards within their account, which will provide them ease of access to each of them, and for future checkouts.
To set this up, simply log in your Ingenico back office and edit the Dynamic E-Commerce Parameters in Configuration >> Technical Information >> Transaction Feedback.
You can follow this screenshot as a reference:
The items you’ll want to select on top of the ones used for the main setup are: ALIAS, BIN, BRAND, CARDNO & ED. Without these set, payments will fail when sent back to the website.
Afterwards, proceed to your WordPress dashboard and in WooCommerce >> Settings >> Payment tab, click on the Manage button to access the Ingenico plugin Settings. Scroll down a bit, and enable the tokenization option.
The customer’s card information is not stored within the plugin’s system, they are stored within the ePDQ’s server safely, and technically, they provide us the token that we use to send back to ePDQ when a customer selects to pay by the card they prefer.
