You may have noticed this error from your dashboard:
The error is straightforward as it can be. This means that your server is blocking Freemius’ API (the service that we use for our licensing system), which throws this error out, and it won’t let you activate the license.
You’ll need to contact your hosting provider to whitelist (or add an exception) for the Freemius API address.
According to Freemius, they are using CloudFlare so IPs can change. To get the most up to date IP addresses, open the system console/command prompt and use the _ping_ command:
> ping api.freemius.com
> ping wp.freemius.com

If you are having trouble making this work, you could contact Freemius support here: email@example.com so that they’ll provide you their updated API IP addresses.
After successfully whitelisting the IP addresses, kindly close the notice by clicking dismiss
and then you would need to navigate from your:
Then make sure to click the Sync link. Clicking this would call the API, which was blocked. This should be processed with no issues, and the notice should not be visible from your dashboard anymore.
