Here at We are AG, we’re always looking for ways to improve and expand our team to benefit you, our plugin customers.
So this year we’ve added two new members to our team. One will allow us to offer faster support for you and the other is on hand to provide tutorials and guides to help you get started.
Before we introduce our new team members, we spoke to We are AG’s Founder Aaron Bowie to talk about why he decided to expand the team.
We started selling plugins back in 2015, back then it was a side hustle while I was still freelancing, since then it has grown more than I could have ever imagined.
Just over two years ago I was finding it hard to keep offering super fast support and continue to do development on the plugins, this was the time when I hired June.
For the past two years, we have managed to keep on top of everything needed with running an indie plugin shop. Last year was a crazy year for us and I found myself doing more support and struggling to keep fresh content on the website.
We saw amazing numbers in Jan this year. So I decided it was time to grow our little team some more. We’d worked with Gina in the past and I knew we had to bring her into our team.
We pride ourself on the great support here and I had been looking for someone to help June. When I met Jodan we clicked right away. He has past experience working for a plugin and theme company and I was keen to see how he would get on. After a week’s trial, I was blown away by what he had to offer and the customers he helped were super pleased.
Taking on both Gina and Jodan means I can continue to work on rolling out new features and even work on releasing new plugins for other payment providers.
I am excited to see what the whole team can achieve and I am super proud of the team here.
After talking to Aaron about his decision, we took the time to talk to Jodan about his new role.
I am a friendly and attentive first level customer support ninja that is more than happy to answer all pre-sale questions, troubleshoot errors and guide customers find the right documentation in setting up We are AG plugins. I also help in updating We are AG internal documentation and guides.
Providing great customer service which is above and beyond expectations to give a wow customer experience is the most important part of my job.
I love to play basketball, watching Netflix (Lupin – TV series) or playing online mobile games together with my family. I also like cooking, trying some new dishes that I can find on the internet.
As the second addition to our team, our next stop was to talk to Gina.
The short answer is I write tutorial-style articles on each of our plugins. The long answer is I make sure these (and any other articles I create) are easy to read, understandable and help We are AG customers get the most from our plugins.
I’d like to think the most important part of my job is translating the more technical side of the plugins into something that’s easy to digest and understand. Here at We are AG we aim to make sure everyone can understand and use our plugins, no matter your knowledge level.
In my time off I do a lot of reading (at least one book a week). I also spend a lot of time in the garden and I’m starting to sow seeds for some delicious summer tomatoes. I spend almost all day on the computer so try to use my spare time away from it also going on long walks.
