What to do if your error log show “the currency is not accepted by the merchant”

From our ePDQ backoffice account > Configuration > Error logs, the transaction may show up as “The currency is not accepted by the merchant” as seen below:

What are the next steps that you can do?

You have to confirm with ePDQ what are the supported currencies in your account. Most likely, the currency allowed on ePDQ accounts is GBP.
For your test payment to work, you need to set your WooCommerce currency option to Pound sterling (WooCommerce > Settings > General > Currency options).

If you’d like to create a multicurrency account, you need to ask the ePDQ team (epdqsupport@barclaycard.co.uk) to make a multi-currency account for you. PSPID accounts that start with MC are only allowed to work with Euro / USD. Kindly check also our guide below for setting up Multiple ePDQ accounts for multi-currency here.
